Manage your account

Keep track of your reading adventures with a Premier’s Reading Challenge account.

A Premier’s Reading Challenge account helps readers, parents and school staff make the most of the challenge. With an account, you can:

  • find exciting books to read 
  • log your reading activity
  • track your progress in the challenge.
Use this information to create and manage your account. 

Readers and parents
  1. Open sign in
  2. Select the 'Sign up' option.
  3. Enter your details. 
  4. Confirm your account through the verification email we send you. Make sure to check your junk folder.  

If the error message appears ‘An account with the given email already exists’, you already have an account and need to sign in. If you are experiencing issues trying to sign in, you can reset your password.  

If you are still experiencing issues, submit a support request

Challenge champions

To become a challenge champion:

  1. Submit a support request.
  2. Select ‘School staff’.
  3. Select 'Yes' to become a challenge champion.
  4. Enter your contact details, you will need to use your work email address to sign up.
  5. Select ‘Submit’.

Once your support request has been received, we will email you a unique URL to sign up as a challenge champion. It may take 2 to 3 business days before you receive the email with the unique URL.

Readers

If you had an account for a previous year's challenge, you will need to sign in and register for this year's challenge. To register:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select ‘Register now’ for the new challenge.
  3. Search and select your school.
  4. Select your year level.
  5. Select ‘Register’.

Once you have completed these steps, you are registered in this year's challenge and can log books.

Parents and challenge champions

If your reader had an account for a previous year's challenge, you will still need to register them for this year's challenge. To register a reader:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select the circle icon with a plus sign next to the '2025 Premier's Reading Challenge'.
  3. Search for the reader and select the row with their name.
  4. Select ‘Register now’ for the new challenge.
  5. Confirm the reader's school and year level.
  6. Select ‘Register’.

Once you have completed these steps, the reader is registered for this year's challenge. You can manage their participation and log books for them.

You can add and edit books throughout the challenge. 

To log a book from the booklist:

  1. Select ‘Log a book’ in your account.
    • Parents and challenge champions make sure you select the reader you wish to log books for.
  2. Search the booklist.
  3. Find the book you have read.
  4. Select the circle icon with a plus sign on the far right.
  5. Add a comment about the book.

To log a book not on the booklist:

  1. Select ‘Log a book’ in your account.
    • Parents and challenge champions make sure you select the reader you wish to log books for.
  2. Select ‘Add a book’.
  3. Log the book you have read and add details of the book, including the:
    • title
    • type
    • date read
    • you can also add the author, a description, a comment and a like, if you wish.
  4. Select ‘Submit’.
Edit your bookshelf

To edit a book, you have logged:

  1. Select ‘Bookshelf’ in your account.
  2. Search the books you have logged.
  3. Find the book you have logged.
  4. Select the 3 dots on the right.
  5. Edit the log details.
  6. Select ‘Submit’.
Manual reading log

Readers who cannot access the Premier's Reading Challenge online can request a manual reading log by submitting a support request.

To change your personal details: 

  1. Sign in to your account. 
  2. Select the person icon in the top right-hand corner of the page. 
  3. Select ‘Edit profile’. 
  4. Update your details. 
  5. Select ‘Done’. 

Your account details will be updated. 

Change the email address linked to your account

To change the email address linked to your account:

  1. Create an account with your new email address and sign up.
  2. Complete the sign up and verify your new email address.
  3. Submit a support request.
    1. Select ‘I want to change email address linked to my account’.
    2. Enter your contact details.
    3. Enter your original and new account details.
    4. Select ‘Submit’.
  4. Once your support request has been received, you will need to sign into your new account and accept the request.

It may take up to 5 business days to complete your support request.

To add a reader to a parent account:

  1. Sign in to your parent account.
  2. Select 'Register a reader'
  3. Search for the reader and select the row with their name.
  4. Enter their details.
  5. Select 'Done'.

Once you have completed these steps, the reader is automatically registered for this year's challenge. You can manage their participation and log books. If your account does not show 'Your readers' when you sign in, submit a support request and we will update your account.

Parents can move a reader from their account if they want to manage their own. To move a reader from a parent account:

  1. Create an account with the reader's new email address and sign up.
  2. Complete sign up and verify their new email address.
  3. Submit a support request.
  4. Enter your contact details and the reader's new details.
  5. Select ‘Submit’.

If you are experiencing account issues, submit a support request.

Provide as much detail as possible, including any error messages received and troubleshooting steps taken. This information will be sent directly to the Premier’s Reading Challenge team, who are ready to assist with any enquiry. 

Please note during busy periods, it may take up to 5 business days to complete your request.
